which Google says is "De aqua ad vitam"?

OR translations to latin for:

I took Latin in the 6th-8th grade but a lot of those brain cells are now gone...

When I look up "As I live I will protect my own" on google translate, I get: "Vivo ego, mea protegam"

But then when i retranslate "Vivo ego, mea protegam" back to english using google translate, I get: "As I live, I will protect" which is not really quite right.

My goal is to have a latin phrase that translates to: "As I live I will protect my own".

I figure a person is better than an alogorithm, so posting here to see if anyone can help.

In Andrew Boorde's 'Breviary of Health', 1577, we find the old saying, 'let every man please his wife in all matters', preceded with the Latin , 'ut homo non cantet cum cuculo'.
I get the impression this means something like 'so as not to sing the song of the cuckoo', i.e. not be cuckolded. Is this correct? Of course, the spelling of Latin in 1577 may have been quirky compared with what we see today. Your help greatly appreciated.

I am trying to decipher the latin - rather hear it clearly - from a Japanese film that deals with the persecution of Christians in an earlier time. I can hear clearly "angelus domini" and the rest is just a bit blurred and I "think" I hear "et semper" ...then a vowel alone like "e" or "u"...then I hear "desero" In trying to put this together I can only deduce a meaning. I thought it might mean "Angel of God I am abandoned forever" or. "Angel of God, I abandon myself forever to you" Can you help me with the meaning? and perhaps give me a full sentence in Latin that would be the possible sentence?

I have tried to piece a translation of "safe hands" together by using various sites, but I really do not know if my Latin "Salvus pandi" is anywhere near correct. With "safe hands" I am trying to express the meaning associated with that phrase's use in, say, American football (he has safe hands, he will not fumble) or in more general use (This issue will be dealt with in the right way. It is in her safe hands). I am not sure whether the words or syntax used are correct. Help please.

I'm obviously new here, so I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong area (but I saw a similar topic in this forum, so here goes).

I'm helping out a friend who's looking for a tattoo idea, and he settled on the oh-so-popular Psalm 22:4 "For though I should walk in the midst of the shadow of death, I will fear no evils, for thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff, they have comforted me."

Now, he wants it in Latin, of course. In my mind, as far as grammar, structure, syntax, and all those fun mechanics, you can't get much more correct than the Latin Vulgate itself. However, he had concerns about it, understandably, since it's permanently being affixed to his body - he was also concerned about any capitalization or punctuation.

This is what I found him:

"sed et si ambulavero in valle mortis non timebo malum quoniam tu mecum es virga tua et baculus tuus ipsa consolabuntur me"

He just wants to fill in the dots as far as capitalization and punctuation goes.

I appreciate the help, guys! Been a long time since I've dedicated time to studying Latin, so I'm rusty at best.
